The No-Show by Beth O’Leary

We all have our go to authors that write books that we read without questioning. We don’t ask what it’s about or even glance at the blurb. We simply trust that this author is going to take us on a journey we want to be on. For me, O’Leary is THAT author.

Beth O’Leary writes books that make my heart happy… well, in the end! She tend to break it a bit first. From the author of The Switch and The Flatshare comes a new and captivating novel that will suck you in from the very first (three) dates.

The characters are well rounded and three dimensional, with all their good and messy parts. In The No-Show, O’Leary creates a set of new and engaging characters that have you routing for them straight out the bat… well maybe not Joseph. He’s a grower! The women of this book are sent on a journey from that first date that shows them they are fiercer and stronger than they could of imagined before Joseph Carter stands them up.

As the book unfolds you get this complex story of twists and turns that will both break and warm your heart.

Once you get your head around the timeline, this is the perfect book to end the summer (or start the autumn, or cosy up to in winter… anytime really)!

It’s a book for the romantics.

It’s a book for the women who question their strength.

It’s a book to sit proud on your bookshelves!
