My Kind of Trouble by L.A. Schwartz

This is probably one of my favourite books this year so far. It’s a literary weighted blanket (if you know, you know). It’s got characters you can’t help but love and a plot that allows you to just go along for the ride. Not to mention a little bit of spice.

Harmony Hale is a con artist. A modern day Robin Hood, if you swap the bow and arrow for a bold red lip. She only cons the worst of the 1% and always gives back to anyone she may hurt along the way. But when she goes after that one person she’s always had her eye on she gets more than she bargained for…

Enter our per spectacled librarian, Preston, who does everything he can to be the best human he can in a world that doesn’t always play fair. And while Preston may not always know the right thing to say he’s about to show Harmony how putting down roots isn’t all that bad.

Was it a little tropey at times? Sure. But if you’re looking for an easy read where the spexy librarian softens the heart of a curvy grifter this one’s for you.

Happy Reading
